Russell Smith - Director/Site Supervisor

Russell began his professional life career as a carpenter in 1987. He enjoyed constructing with wood, working with his hands and bringing plans to life.

After completing his apprenticeship, Russell began Exterior Dimensions as a carpentry business, working for himself on a range of projects. The business naturally evolved into the building industry as his expertise and eye for detail were in demand by many builders.

After 15 years of building for others, Russell decided to become as builder - that way, he could set the standards and create homes that were truly bespoke and beautiful.

So, after gaining his building licence in 2002, Exterior Dimensions became a building company. Russell’s first project, an extension at Henley Beach, won the Excellence in a renovation or addition award.

“I still gain so much satisfaction from seeing a project go from drawings to a brand new home or transformation of an existing home.

While I’m not on the tools these days, I’m personally involved with each project and oversee every aspect of the build. Of course, I’m there for our clients - it’s important to me and all of us at Exterior Dimensions, that our clients feel 100% confident that we are building exactly what they want. That’s about me being accessible and available.”

Amy Radivojevic - Building Administration

Amy commenced with Exterior Dimensions in 2015 as Building Administrator. She has a wealth of experience in many different aspects of the building industry.

Part of Amy’s role is creating contracts/schedules, liaising with the trades/suppliers, scheduling materials, acts as the middle person in the selection process and many other day to day tasks a successful build requires.

“My job can be quite hectic from time to time, but I love it because each day is different. I never know what this job is going to throw at me.

I thrive on the challenge of bringing together the different aspects of a build. My job is made easier because Russell is so acknowledgeable and easy going.

Visiting a completed project and seeing the result of months of organisation and paperwork, I get a real sense of accomplishment, which is very rewarding.”
